With the early start time and the amount of work given at school, finding a sufficient sleep schedule can be very difficult. Waking up between 5 and 6 in the morning is easily the hardest part. So, here is a list of my 5 favorite tips on waking up early in the morning for school.
1. Put your alarm clock on the other side of your room
This is my favorite tip because it forces me straight out of bed in the morning without pressing the snooze button which causes more drowsiness.
2. Plan a breakfast that gives your body energy
Foods that give you energy include eggs, bananas, apples, oatmeal, yogurt, oranges, avocados, strawberries, and coffee in moderation.
3. Do simple stretches in the morning
Doing simple stretches in the morning boosts brain activity and sets you up for a productive and positive day at school.
4. Drink water
This tip is simple but one of the most beneficial. It boosts your metabolism, gives you energy, hydrates the body, removes toxins from the blood, etc.
5. Write a scheduled morning routine
By writing down each step of your morning routine, it gives a structure to look forward to. Also, by writing down the times each steps should take, it prevents you from procrastinating and taking more time than each step needs.
